DORIS ZAGDANSKI - Author Began working for Hepner Funeral Services in Geelong in 1984 and established reputation as a grief educator and funeral industry trainer. From 1982 - 1987 held a voluntary position with the Coronerís department in Geelong as a 'parent support person' to all SIDS families in the region. Awarded inaugural 1994 Mrs Victoria Community Service Award in recognition of service to the Sudden Infant Death Research Foundation in Victoria. Key Note Speaker invitations at conferences throughout Australia, New Zealand and International SIDS Conference, Norway 1994. Currently an active public speaker and regularly presents community loss and grief awareness education to hospitals, emergency services, churches, palliative care volunteers, nursing home staff, schools, support groups etc throughout Qld, keenly interested in promoting a better understanding of how grief affects people and how we can effectively help grieving people.
